Decription

This is one of our most popular styles. The shaker paneling is decorative without being busy and will match nearly any decor or home style. Because it is available in any of our standard woods and finishes, this bed is versatile and dynamic and will conform to your taste beautifully. As is the case with all of our beds, the Springfield Murphy Desk Bed is built from only real wood with no inferior substitutes.

The desktop rests 31″ off the ground and is 25″ deep, giving you ample space for all of your desktop needs. Once your guests arrive and it is time to transform your office into their bed, simply release the locking pins on either side of the bed cabinet and lower the bed. Because of the ingenious hinging system the Murphy Desk Beds utilize, the desktop will stay level with the floor as the bed is lowered. This means you will not need to clear your desktop when using the bed. The height clearance for items on your desk is 17″, which means most monitors, printers, laptops, and even sewing machines will fit.

Although the desk will hold hundreds of pounds, we recommend limiting the weight to 40 lbs. to ensure the bed will lift and lower with minimum effort.
