At Wilding Wallbeds, we are completely aware that the forest literally offers us our living and we feel an intense obligation to manage and protect that resource, not only for us and future generations but the inhabitants of the forests themselves. Our product is an All Wood Product, as advertised. We don't use the particle board that is such a problem for formaldehyde emissions in our industry. We also recognize the health benefit for each and every home that we provide a Wallbed or Home office for by compliance with the Zero Emissions standard. Each of us also use the products that we build in our very own homes, with our very own families. We are the only Wallbed Company that I am aware of that meets these standards.
California Air Resources Board (CARB) compliant. This is the Formaldehyde emissions association. 100% of our panels are CARB compliant. www.CARBrule.com
Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Standard compliant. This is a Sustainable Forest management standard that promotes nine principles, 13 objectives, 34 performance measures and 102 indicators developed by professional foresters, conversationalists, scientists and others, to protect and manage water quality, biodiversity, harvesting and regeneration. Other focuses include habitat protection and quality and protection for vulnerable species. This SFI Standard is reviewed through an open public process every five years and is subject to continuous improvement so it can incorporate the latest scientific information and respond to emerging issues. The review process for the SF 2010-2014 Standard began in June 2008, and the new standard will take effect on January 1, 2010. http://www.sfiprogram.org/
